Check in with yourself daily- pay attention to who you are, how you feel; remember your goals (in life, beauty, education, career) and achieve them.

I always tell patients to eat healthy; what you put inside your body truly does matter. Diet is a lifestyle choice you can control.

Do you have any advice, tips, or insights for our patients? What is one thing every woman can do to better her health/quality of life?
I think it’s important for a woman to look and feel good when she wakes up every day. A trusted physician can help resolve something that is bothering you or causing embarrassment; take care of any concern that is negatively impacting your life and self-esteem. Also, we live in a sunny, dry climate so moisturize and use sunblock regularly.

A female historical figure you admire: Queen Liliuokalani who was the first and last queen of Hawai’i. She fought for Native Hawaiians’ rights and traditions, established a bank for women, and a fund for the education of Native Hawaiian girls. A girl’s girl! 
What can you NOT leave the house without?: My cocoa butter Vaseline, Hydroflask, and sunscreen
Do you have any advice, tips, or insights for our patients? What is one thing every woman can do to better her health/quality of life?: Always prioritize yourself and your well-being and take a break whenever you need one. Sometimes we can be so caught up on being on-the-go that we forget to listen to our bodies and be proactive about our health. Remember to do things that will make you happy no matter how big or small, you deserve it!

Advice/tips for women: You can help someone best once you’ve helped yourself. Don’t get caught up in trivial daily matters because there will always be something to stress and worry about in life. Rather than thinking about everything that is going wrong, change your perspectives and focus on what serves you and makes you happy.
