Western Modalities

Eugenia is a gifted practitioner that is well versed in several Bodywork modalities from all over the world, so she can customize your treatment based on your concerns and ailments.

Swedish

Swedish massage uses an array of strokes. Eugenia will perform rolling, kneading, percussion, and vibration to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this massage include relief from aches and pain, decreased stress, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue

This massage relieves tension in deeper tissues of the body. Deep tissue is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication with Eugenia during the session is crucial. Soreness is common after the treatment and it is recommended to stay well hydrated after the massage to help flush toxins that have been released during the session.

Hot Stone Therapy

In this massage, Eugenia will place heated stones at specific sites on your body. These stones will be used in combination with deep massage or Swedish massage to promote circulation in your muscles. Aromatherapy is included in this massage, if desired. Muscles heated with the stones release tension and stress much more effectively and quickly than a traditional massage. This massage will help drain your lymph and release toxins from the body.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is a time when a woman’s body endures tremendous stress and dramatic physical and emotional changes. This massage involves various techniques specifically developed for the expecting mother. Eugenia will use techniques, including strokes, rolling, deep tissue, and myofascial therapy. Longitudinal release and cross fiber technique will help realign muscle fibers and heal your pain.
This massage is offered to women beginning in their second trimester and onwards.

Myofascial Therapy

Myofascial therapy targets pain and range-of-motion issues caused by a multitude of factors. During your session, Eugenia will assess you, palpate areas of concern, observe your posture, and try some range-of-motion exercise to tailor a plan specific to your needs. Eugenia will apply some different techniques to warm the muscles and use cross fiber techniques and longitudinal release to release the muscle fibers of concern. At the end of the session, she will reassess you to see the improvement with the bodywork.

Lymphatic Massage

During lymphatic massage, Eugenia will apply long strokes all over the body in order to activate and move lymphatic fluids. This therapy decreases edema (swelling), decreases pain, reduces pressure, and improves blood flow.
